What is IBS? Is IBS a real diagnosis?  Is it even treatable? Can I beat IBS for good or is it going to keep hanging around like a bad smell?

In this video, we are going to talk about irritable bowel syndrome and what you might be doing right now that’s doing you more harm than good!

IBS means that your bowels are not working properly, you’re either moving your bowels too much or too little, and you suffer from stomach cramps and bloating.

One can experience IBS-D which is associated with diarrhea, IBS-C which is associated with constipation, and IBS-M which is a mixture of diarrhea and constipation.

Some of the causes of IBS are food intolerances and sensitivities, but other issues play a role in IBS such as stress, medication, family history, and lifestyle factors.

So when it comes to treating IBS, your doctor may prescribe medications to help you with the symptoms. There’s nothing wrong with this. However, there are often side effects to medications. You want to get to the root cause and hopefully not take medication for the rest of your life.
